Bernhard, Von Lippe Biesterfeld, this is the man who we are talking about. He always had a dodgy image and was involved in many scandals and bad behaviours.

On the evening gala before his wedding with the Dutch Princess Juliana in 1937, the orchestra was supposed to play the “Horst Wessel” song. Used by the Nazis as their hymn. The Dutch musical director refused to conduct this piece and handed the baton over to the conductor of the military band. Jewish musicians left the stage, Some guests made the Hitler salute. German born Bernhard, studied law in Berlin and started straight away to work in NW-7, the spy department of I.G. Farben. Bernhard became a member of the “Sturmabteilung” (SA) from the NSDAP. NationalSocialischteDeutscheArbeiterPartei. The NAZIS. He also joined the “Reiter-SS” Fotos from Bernhard in SA uniform disappeared from the Dutch archives, there are only war images from him in a Dutch military uniform.

There were rumours in the US press in 1942 that the Dutch government was aware of his SA membership. Bernhard denied this till he confessed in an interview in 1995; only published after his death in 2004

I mentioned in earlier blogs that Prins Bernhard was one of the guests on a dinner with Rudolf Hess in England in 1942. Present also the English Royal family. They wanted to outmanoeuvre Churchill and make peace with Adolf Hitler.

The Prins was involved in a lot more. During the war there were vast amounts of money moving through Europe, in the end all to finance Hitler’s war. Also involved was the grandfather of president George W. Bush en John Foster Dulles. So were some Jewish bankers!

Money went through the Fritz Thyssen Dutch Bank to the SS. Prins Berhard, also founder of the Bilderberg group, was once secretary to the board of I.G. Farben. The Chemical giant that controlled in WWII 700 international companies. I.G. Farben had close connections to the Dutch Bank. But also made the gas for the concentration camps “showers”.

Bush had holdings in the German Hamburg-Amerika shipping line. Another money laundering company was the Holland American Trading company.

Although Thyssen did not need any foreign banks to shift money from the US to Hitler, the family owned an entire chain of banks. At the end of the War they did not have to hand in Nazi assets. All Thyssen had to do was to transfer ownership documents, stocks, bonds, deeds and trusts from Berlin through his Dutch bank to his American friends in New York City. Prescott Bush, the father of the future president of the USA.

Prins Bernhard was a spill in a lot of these Money Games. Later he was caught to collect bribes from Lockheed to help them sell fighterjets to the Dutch Airforce. In the meantime he found time to make babies with several women across Europe.

Somebody else involved was E.Roland Harriman. The family nowadays still a member of the Yale Brotherhood “Skull and Bones” A society that runs our governments and big companies.

PS: Strangely, my father, Gelderland head of the Resistance, did not mention a lot about Bernhard when he told me his story about WWII. But that will be another chapter.
