In my previous blog about the Gaza terror I mentioned Mahmoud Hamshari. He became a Fatah member just after the 6-day war in June 1967. Hamshari did not support the Arafat hardline an his Black September Group. But nevertheless he was the man who proposed to kill of a High Profile Amercan on US soil. He condemned the Pentagon which supported Israel during the 6-day war. With facts and figures. But even mad Fatah members did not consider this as a good idea.

Hamshari started to visit the US. Nobody knew under what name and with what passport. He became fundraiser for the Fatah. This brought him on contact with Aristoteles Onassis. Through an internationnal dealer called David Karr. Onassis did not like the background of Hamshari but always wanted to know what’s going on. Ari (Onassis) met him im his appartement in the Avenue Foch. Onassis hated the guts of Bobby Kennedy

During that meeting Hamshari indicated that the Onassis airline Olympic was in danger of Fatah terror attacks. Onassis paid him 1 million$ to keep his planes safe. Much more than other airlines paid. It was never clear if Ari told that he disliked Bobby Kennedy very much. And that Bobby stood in the way of Onassis marrying Jackie K.

Hamshari also helped Palestinians into the US. One family had a fanatic Fatah member called Sirhan. God knows how these people were able to nationalise in the US. But in 1945 10.000 Nazis did.

1 night in June 1968, during an election meeting in the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles, Bobby Kennedy changed into another meeting room. Bobby choose service corridors so said he did not need security. A dark slim young man stepped from behind a tray rack and shouted:” Kennedy, you son of a bitch”. Raised a revolver and shot Bobby in the head and the rest of his body. The assassin kept shooting and injured five other people. “I did it for my country” he shouted.

Kennedy died 6 hrs later.

I remind you that Hamshari had suggested to the Fatah to kill a high placed American on American soil. Could Bobby have been the target? And was the a part of the 1 million$ Onassis paid to Hamshari for Olympic Air safety, the bonus for Sirhan to kill Bobby Kennedy? To get him out of the way so Ari could marry Jackie Kennedy? The widow of John F.

Sirhan was condemned to the death penalty and killed in the gaschamber. His family sent back to Palastine. Onassis married Jackie, as everybody knows. Ari still had a miserable life, full of family tragedies. 2 of his Olympic planes got attacked by terrorists. His daughter Tina comitted suïcide. And his son died in a plane crash. Cause of the accident was never cleared. Even Onassis kept it a secret.

1 thing is for sure, I’m glad that I am not mega rich. 2 small pensions keep me with my feet on the ground and my fingers on the piano.
